The Other Stuff

This year, Halfway to Seventy-Five raised money for Bloodwise and here is why:

When she was a baby, Kate Samuel attended the very first Halfway to Seventy-Five with her twin sister Anna. Last year, at the age of just 5, Kate was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. She has been amazingly resilient throughout her treatment at Oxford Children’s Hospital, and had been responding well. Unfortunately, earlier this year, Kate and her family were given the devastating news that she had relapsed and will need ground-breaking new treatment.

Bloodwise is the UK’s leading blood cancer charity and funds world-class research into all types of blood cancer, including childhood leukaemia, and we were proud to raise money for them in honour of Kate and her bravery, and also that of her family.
